Toyo Ink Europe is reinforcing its leadership in flexographic printing through an intensive two-day training programme at the Omet Demo Centre, guided by renowned flexo specialist Stefano D’Andrea. The initiative highlights the company’s commitment to continuous learning, innovation, and delivering best-in-class support to its customers.
A Truly Cross-Departmental Effort
Bringing together colleagues from sales, R&D, quality control, manufacturing, and technical support, the training united team members from across Europe including Belgium, the UK, Spain, and Germany. This collaborative approach ensured that knowledge sharing extended far beyond individual roles or regions, building a stronger, more cohesive foundation of expertise across the organisation.
The training also built upon previous learning initiatives, such as dedicated sessions for the French sales team, and further strengthened collaboration with Toyo Ink’s distribution partner T&K in Italy.
Learning from the Best
Under D’Andrea’s expert guidance, participants explored both theory and hands-on practice on Omet’s latest flexographic presses, using Toyo Ink’s own Steraflex LED ink series. The sessions addressed key aspects of flexo printing from controlling dot gain to overcoming issues such as ghosting, misting, bridging, and spitting. Real-world customer challenges were used as case studies, ensuring the training remained practical, relevant, and impactful.
Driving Customer-Centric Solutions
By engaging colleagues from multiple departments and geographies, the training fostered diverse perspectives, enhanced problem-solving skills, and deepened understanding of flexo processes. This collective expertise positions Toyo Ink Europe to better support customers, providing not only innovative products but also the technical know-how to maximise their performance in real-world applications.
Building on a Culture of Continuous Learning
This initiative follows the company’s offset printing training at Koenig & Bauer in 2024, underscoring Toyo Ink Europe’s long-term strategy of investing in people as much as in products. With technology and market needs constantly evolving, the company aims to stay ahead by empowering its teams with the skills and knowledge to deliver smarter, future-ready solutions.
Special thanks were extended to Stefano D’Andrea for his invaluable guidance, as well as Luca Mauri and Deborah Barbieri of T&K for their flawless organisation, and Omet for hosting the training in their state-of-the-art facility.
Toyo Ink Europe’s latest training milestone reflects its philosophy that when teams grow together, customers benefit the most — and the flexo market can expect nothing less than excellence.
