Peelable Coating Technology Protects Metal and Glass

Applying protective plastic to a metal or glass surface no longer requires perfectly aligning and smoothing cling film by hand. VpCI®-372 offers a water-based acrylic paint that inhibits corrosion and can be easily discarded after removal.

Paint On, Peel Off

This product looks and smells like paint when poured from the drum. It can be sprayed directly onto non-porous surfaces to achieve a smooth coat of clear or tinted paint at a thickness of 2.0-10.0 mils (50-250 μm) dry film thickness. The thicker the coat, the better the protection and ease of removal. The paint adheres tightly to the surface when dry until the seal is broken, allowing the coating to be peeled off. The resulting material resembles a sheet of plastic and can be disposed of as solid waste.

Protect Metal Panels, Windows and More

This hybrid coating-turned-plastic-film has multiple applications. Steel sheet manufacturers can apply it over metal panels to keep them corrosion-free during shipping. Maintenance crews and homeowners can spray boats or other metal equipment before storage. Contractors can protect new windows, doors and frames at jobsites from dust, dirt and debris during ongoing construction.

Chemical Innovation

Although it is not suitable for every protective coating application, this chemistry provides an effective solution where a paint-on, peel-off protective film is needed.
