Galaxy Milk Drink gets packaging update

Mars Chocolate Drinks & Treats (MCD&T) has given its Galaxy Milk Drink range a packaging update which aims to bring it in line with Galaxy chocolate.

As well as bringing the drink’s look in line with the confectionery range, the bottles will switch from a traditional sports cap to a flat cap from April.

This follows consumer feedback from a survery conducted by Mortar Research which revealed that 73% of people who have drunk chocolate milk prefer to do so from a flat-cap bottle.

The change comes as Galaxy confectionery sales are in growth, having seen a year-on-year sales increase of 7.2%.

Kerry Cavanaugh, general manager at MCD&T, said: “Several factors have guided our decision to refresh the on-shelf presence of Galaxy Milk Drink.

“We are confident that Galaxy’s enduring brand appeal, combined with the introduction of the popular flat cap bottle, will attract even more consumers to purchase the milk drink.”
