kremsmünster, june 2017. in march, greiner packaging established a joint venture with plastic system, the russian plastic packaging producer, which previously served the market under the brand souzpromplast. the new company has since been operating under the name greiner packaging system. moreover, greiner packaging has already been successfully represented in the russian market with a location in vladimir since 2005. the key technologies have so far been thermoforming in conjunction with the k3® cardboard-plastic combination.

The system is designed to be scalable and therefore suitable for a customers with different needs.
In fact, each customer can compose his custom UDAA with the modules he considers necessary, without losing the opportunity to add others later.

The development comes after the news that two-thirds of all plastic packaging used for consumer products in the UK is being sent to landfill or incineration with only one third being recycled, according to figures from the Co-op. Only half a million of the 1.5 million tonnes of recyclable plastic waste created every year is being reused as intended.
