INFOPACK: We know that the main objective of Amec envasgraf is to support companies in the fields of internationalization and innovation. What lines of work could you highlight during your time as president?
MICHELE PALMA: Time passes very quickly and it will soon be a couple of years since I assumed the presidency of the Association. Indeed, we focus on internationalization: greater support for companies in relation to their internationalization processes and increasing their presence in foreign markets, but we also have other major lines of work such as increasing networking and collaboration between companies associated or accompany companies in the new challenges of the industry: dimension, talent, Industry 4.0, digitization, sustainability ...
 
IP: AMEC envasgraf has carefully prepared your participation in this edition of Interpack. What actions will this association develop during the fair and how would you define Spanish participation?
MP: A total of 87 Spanish companies will participate in this edition of Interpack. AMEC envasgraf coordinates and promotes the participation of 25 Spanish companies in the fair. Among the activities that we organize during the event, I would highlight the help to obtain space at the fair, advice on contracting supplies, coordination of logistics services, especially in relation to decoration and transport, monitoring of assembly and disassembly, the production of press releases, the creation of a Landing Page with dispatch to distributors, representatives, final buyers, product associations, magazines, etc., advertising at the fairgrounds and networking among participants.
 
IP: As we can see, the promotion of exports is one of the priorities of AMEC packaging. How important is Interpack within this strategy?
MP: Interpack is the most important fair in the world in the container and packaging sector and, of course, an unmissable event for the association's companies. We look forward to this appointment every three years to expose our equipment and our latest technological developments. It is the perfect occasion to meet clients, representatives and distributors from countries around the world and share with them projects, trends and concerns and, for this, we prepare and design our participation well in advance ...
