Silgan Dispensing has introduced its Melodie Pirouette SNI 13 pump, a new dispensing solution designed to expand refillable packaging possibilities in the luxury fragrance market. Unveiled at LUXE PACK Monaco, the innovation enables fragrance brands to offer refillable molded glass bottles across a wider range of formats, including convenient on-the-go options.
Developed in collaboration with Groupe Pochet, the solution combines a molded glass bottle featuring a 13 mm threaded (screw) neck with a customised version of Silgan's Melodie Pirouette SNI 13 pump, engineered specifically for compatibility with this closure configuration.
Enabling Refillable Luxury Fragrance Formats
The Melodie Pirouette pump is designed to deliver a premium fragrance application experience through Silgan's 'Emotions of Spray' collection, offering different spray experiences to suit brand positioning and consumer preferences.
Designed to withstand frequent and repeated refilling, the pump supports reusable packaging formats while helping fragrance brands maintain a consistent dispensing experience across standard and portable bottles.
The new solution also integrates with Silgan's Replay Connector refill system, combining a removable threaded pump with a dedicated refill mechanism. This expands Silgan's portable fragrance refill portfolio beyond conventional glass vials, offering brands greater flexibility in developing premium travel-friendly fragrance packaging.
Collaboration Driving Packaging Innovation
The development brings together the complementary expertise of Silgan Dispensing and Groupe Pochet. Groupe Pochet developed the first molded glass bottle featuring an SNI 13 screw neck, enabling Silgan to customise its Melodie Pirouette SNI 13 pump for seamless integration.
This collaboration allows fragrance brands to develop coordinated refillable packaging collections across different molded glass sizes without compromising distinctive bottle designs or premium aesthetics.
A French patent application has been filed for the innovation.
