Mondi, a global powerhouse in sustainable paper and packaging, has announced the expansion of its re/cycle MailerBAG production capacity strengthening its position as a key player in the eCommerce sector's green transformation. The latest investment at its Krapkowice plant in Poland is aimed at scaling up the supply of recyclable paper mailers to keep pace with the rapidly growing demand for eco-conscious delivery solutions.
This strategic move builds on Mondi’s prior expansion at the same facility, reinforcing its commitment to sustainable innovation and readiness to support a booming eCommerce industry with scalable and environmentally friendly alternatives.
The MailerBAG portfolio now boasts four thoughtfully engineered formats designed to meet a wide variety of product and protection needs:
- Bottom Gusset Bag : Flexible enough to adapt to various product shapes
- Side Gusset Bag : Ideal for compact or medium-sized goods
- Block Bottom Bag : Made for large, bulky items
- Protective Mailer : Provides built-in cushioning for delicate products
All MailerBAG formats are recyclable in standard paper waste streams across Europe, offering customers a sustainable, paper-based alternative to traditional plastic packaging. This aligns closely with Mondi’s MAP2030 sustainability roadmap, which focuses on circularity, climate resilience, and responsible product stewardship.
