Coverpla Pushes the Limits of Eco-Design with Ultra-Green Fragrance Caps

In a striking move toward sustainable luxury, Coverpla a turnkey solution expert in the world of perfumery has unveiled its next-generation collection of eco-friendly fragrance caps. Known for its elegant Surlyn caps that eliminate the need for inserts, the company is now expanding into even greener territory, offering a range of cap designs crafted from responsibly sourced materials and designed for recyclability.

From its earliest days, Coverpla has favored innovation through mold engineering, creating cap designs that snap directly onto pump collars without extra components. These Surlyn-based solutions have not only brought aesthetic clarity but have also made recycling easier. However, with increasing market demand for material diversity, the company began introducing caps made of aluminum, zamac, wood, and alternative resins—many of which required additional inserts.

Now, Coverpla is doubling down on its commitment to eco-design. The brand is exploring monomaterial solutions and removable insert concepts that enhance recyclability. At the forefront of this evolution is a collaboration with Spanish partner Pujolasos, resulting in a unique fragrance cap composed of FSC-certified wood and a compressed cork insert. An alternative version features a PP component with an easily removable insert, enabling consumers to separate materials for proper recycling.

Two upcoming designs TOO-DOO and TORRID are part of Coverpla’s expanding wooden cap lineup, both featuring cork inserts. In fact, nearly all wooden caps in the brand’s catalog will soon offer this eco-upgrade.

And the innovation doesn’t stop there. Coverpla has developed a specialized mold to produce caps using bio-based PLA, a 100% biodegradable material that aligns with the circular economy. As customer demand continues to evolve, so too will Coverpla’s green packaging solutions, marking a bold stride in sustainable fragrance design.
