Application
Where it is used
In peritoneal dialysis, flexible bags hold the fresh dialysate and collect the used, waste-saturated solution. CAPD is done by hand about four times a day; APD uses a machine, usually overnight at home. Both demand strict hygiene to avoid peritonitis and septicaemia.
Polycine's co-extruded films and tubes are autoclavable and suited to these bags, from the solution bag to the drainage bag, and to the cleaning solutions used in haemodialysis machines.
