In a bid to educate consumers about its products, KETTLE®, a UK hand cooked crisp brand, has announced the redesigning of its packaging.

The newly-branded packs will be hitting stores in September and are set to showcase illustrations of key ingredients to highlight exactly what goes into the product during the production process.

In a move the brand is labelling as ‘there’s more to KETTLE® than you think’, the packaging will feature the crisp’s field to factory journey, flagging the province of the product.

BelliWelli, a brand of soft-baked nutrition bars developed for the millions of Americans suffering from irritable bowel syndrome, is slated to launch at Sprouts Farmers Market stores nationwide, joining regional retailers including Harmons Neighborhood Grocer, Earth Fare, Gelson's, Central Market and Mother's Market & Kitchen.

Plastic packaging products maker Berry has developed a new EasySnacking on-the-go packaging solution for Podravka, a Croatian cream spread brand.

The new lightweight pack solution ensures that the pack meets the consumer’s sustainability requirements.

Due to the company’s ongoing product improvement, the Lino Lada from Podravka is a top seller in both its home market and the rest of the Adria region, said Berry.

Berry Global and Mars, Incorporated announce the launch of recycled content packaging. Together the companies are driving positive societal impact through new M&M’S®, SKITTLES®, and STARBURST® packaging with 15% recycled plastic. The jars, which come in three sizes, 60-, 81-, 87-ounces, offer the same look and feel and will eliminate approximately 300 tons of virgin plastic per year.

As a result of the update, the online-only supermarket has said this uses 50% less plastic and will remove eight tonnes of plastic packaging every year.

Created in partnership with Linden Foods, the new packaging format was trialled over the last 12 to 18 months with multiple combinations of carrier and top film materials, which has since seen 11 tonnes of plastic used across its steak lines now recyclable.

Coca-Cola India has rolled out a technological product innovation - a locked Coke, which is a limited-edition bottle for the festive season. The ‘locked’ bottle is fitted with a special Bluetooth-enabled cap, programmed to open only in the presence of the sender’s mobile phone. The concept is in line with Coke’s recent #MilkeHiManegiDiwali campaign, which encourages consumers to meet and celebrate this Diwali in person.
