The two-layered cryogenic labels are specifically adapted to the demands of extreme sub-zero temperatures and can be complemented by other features such as detachable labels.

When properly used, transdermal patches with high concentrations of active ingredients are effective and safe means of drug delivery used in chronic pain management or hormone therapy. Schreiner MediPharm developed for PS Marketing and Outsourcing GmbH a label for reliable and safe disposal of used patches and prevention of abuse.

Biopharmaceuticals and biosimilars, blood products, vaccines and vitamin preparations are extremely light-sensitive and UV rays may impair their effectiveness and thus pose potential health risks to patients. To protect these sensitive liquid substances in transparent glass containers, Schreiner MediPharm developed a novel label concept for UV and light protection at various safety levels. At the same time, it allows to inspect the original color of the containers’ content.

Treatment by self-medication: a consistently growing trend. Patients suffering from diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis or multiple sclerosis increasingly use pens or autoinjectors. Ease and safety of handling these devices are particularly important to them. For pharmaceutical manufacturers, the protection of patients against fake medicines and security of the supply chain are additionally of major importance.

The EU Falsified Medicines Directive (FMD) requires pharmaceutical manufacturers to serialize their products and to provide secondary product packaging with an anti-tampering device. Primary containers or devices such as pens and autoinjectors for self-medication, however, are not included in these requirements yet. Schreiner MediPharm has developed an NFC-Label for autoinjectors that enables digital tamper evidence on primary packaging and makes it possible for pharmaceutical manufacturers to close this risk gap.
