In the United States, syringes should be used with safety devices to protect healthcare staff against the risk of needlestick
injuries. B. Braun Medical was looking for an efficient and safe needle protection solution for its prefilled Heparin Sodium
Injection and found it in Needle-Trap from Schreiner MediPharm.

Consumers, customs officials and brand protectors increasingly seek to verify the authenticity of products or documents—preferably by the naked eye and without any tools.

Biopharmaceuticals and biosimilars, blood products, vaccines and vitamin preparations are extremely light-sensitive and UV rays may impair their effectiveness and thus pose potential health risks to patients. To protect these sensitive liquid substances in transparent glass containers, Schreiner MediPharm developed a novel label concept for UV and light protection at various safety levels. At the same time, it allows to inspect the original color of the containers’ content.

For UV and light protection of particularly sensitive medicines such as biopharmaceuticals, biosimilars, blood products, vaccines and vitamin preparations, Schreiner MediPharm developed three novel labels at various safety levels. They reliably protect liquid substances in transparent glass containers against the damaging effects of exposure to UV irradiation and light.  At the same time, they make it possible to check the liquid in the container for its impeccable original condition.

Oberschleissheim, March 15, 2017 – Schreiner MediPharm has developed a novel marking solution for syringes: Pharma-Multi-Act. The label, together with the cap, is easy to open with one flick of the wrist, which makes it particularly user-friendly.  Pharma-Multi-Act also offers reliable and irreversible first-opening indication and may include various additional security and indicator functionalities.
