Interpack 2017

CEFLEX, the collaborative initiative to increase the collection and recycling of flexible packaging formats below A4 in size, has grown dramatically since its official launch in 2017 at Interpack. The number of participating stakeholders has risen by 56% in the past seven months to reach 53, with companies and organisations from across the value chain.

People who take medication know how important the patient information leaflet is, but they also never know where to put it when the pack has been opened. Once a tablet container has been opened, and the leaflet taken out and read, it’s generally very difficult to fold it up neatly again so that it fits back inside.

Düsseldorf, Germany – The global biscuit and confectionery company pladis has signed a preferred supplier agreement with Bosch Packaging Technology at leading trade fair interpack 2017. By signing the agreement, Bosch has become one of pladis’ worldwide preferred suppliers of process and packaging technology for bakery, chocolate, and confectionery products. The global agreement defines their future cooperation in areas ranging from processing and automation technology to packaging machines and systems for primary and secondary packaging.


Pianoro (Bologna) – Interpack has just ended and was a great success for the Marchesini Group. 5 thousand visitors entered the modern and bright open space booth of 1,200 square meters in Pavilion 8a throughout the exhibition week with peaks of visitors from Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Japan, China and England. Many guests were welcomed at the smart meeting room on the first floor of the booth from which they enjoyed a panoramic view of the whole hall.

Ochsenhausen / Düsseldorf, 04 May 2017 – Quick and easy ordering of printed films: Südpack Verpackungen GmbH & Co. KG will be the first film manufacturer in Europe to offer its customers online ordering of digitally printed and laminated films for food products and technical articles. Customers can select their desired film in the shop with just a few mouse clicks and upload their print motif. A special configurator helps them to choose the film best suited to their product, upload the printing information, and configure the details.
