The unique and innovative design of the GLÜCK jar has given the Friedrich Göbber Company its first sector award. The ‘Innovative Glass Product’ award is organised by Aktionsforum Glasverpackung (part of BV Glas, the German Glass Association), where judges selected the preserve jar as this year’s winner.


Technology traditionally used in the chocolate industry has been adapted by Ardagh’s Design Team to create differentiation through high definition glass embossing, adding textures and feature enhancement to a standard never seen before in glass packaging.

The Swiss Packaging Award is an award by the Swiss Packaging Institute, SVI, to recognize outstanding achievements in the field of packaging in seven categories. The aim of the competition is to showcase the creativity and innovation of the Swiss packaging industry. Winners of Swiss Packaging Awards are able to participate in the World Star international packaging competition.

Ardagh Group has continued its productive and highly creative relationship with Absolut with the launch of its latest limited edition bottle, Absolut Facet. Once again, Ardagh designers and technologists, working closely with their customer, have achieved outstanding innovation in glass packaging by developing a new colour and shape to create this unique blue bottle featuring an asymmetric design.


Following Ardagh Group’s recent entry into metal beverage can manufacturing the company will, for the first time, feature beverage cans alongside its award winning glass packaging, beer kegs and aluminium bottles at Brau Beviale 2016 (Stand 4A/225).


The company’s focus this year will be geared towards innovation and sustainability, showcasing recent developments that offer all beverage categories the widest choice in packaging solutions and, as one of the world’s largest packaging companies, access to unrivalled and integrated R&D facilities.
