Impact of new Indian Rupee symbol on packaging in India
A new symbol of indian Rupee has been designed and implemented in India. its a great move to get recognition of Indian currency and would help to create much stronger position of Indian worldwide. On the otherside, it also has many impacts on various things like IT as new symbol as to be included in computer typing programs, all currency notes have to be changed, school syllabus has to revised, new batch coding stereos have to be created, new printing cyliners have to be made, lot of old forms have to be changed to correct the price symbol, lot of publicity has to be done to implement new symbol. So it indirectly created more work, more jobs though temporarily. It would definitely help Indian packaging industry to grow, what do you say?To help understand, I attach herewith a presentation that I got through mass mails and thought of sharing with you.

Very true, It will definitely going to help some of the Packaging Industry to earn some extra bucks eg Ink Jet Coder manufacturers who would be needing to add the new symbol for the MRPs in their coders. Also, FMCG companies can use the new symbol of rupee for the cost reduction pack promotion.
