Italy’s Sacmi Imola Businett Unit for Form-Fill-Seal machine, Benco Pack, presented a system for turning plastics granulate into finished containers without an injection system in what the company called the “only real new technology” at the exhibition.
Called CBF (Compression Blow Forming), it takes the advantages of compression technology and links it with thermoforming to reduce plastics container production costs and time. It also results in zero rejects and scrap material wastage as it starts from pellets.
