Compared to thin Aluminum foils, cost-effective Metallised SL films provide increased resistance to punctures and flex cracking along-with cost effective reduced weight and sustainability factors.

Developing a both side treated high barrier metallised film is a great challenge because of very high risks of blocking and winding issues, which can impair Barrier properties of the film. Max has developed this grade by optimizing the metallization parameters along with special skin formulations and optimizing winding parameters.

Metallised SL is used as the middle ply of the lamination (PET/SL/PE) to provide excellent barrier properties and chemical resistance to protect the product.

‘’SL grade can be utilized as a substitute to Aluminium foil in few applications’’
