Right into the microwave, shake and eat – made possible by the extraordinary plastic packaging developed by GIZEH for the innovative meat snack “Dip Cap” from the high-quality butcher Tillman’s. A technically sophisticated packaging solution was required to ensure both the durability and freshness of two different foods as well as the simplest form of preparation. In addition to their technical features, the packaging had to be homogeneous, attractive and be high-quality in appearance.

 The new snack is now available for purchase in a deep-drawn EVOH cup with an injection-moulded cover developed by GIZEH. The foil-sealed EVOH cup with an oxygen barrier adapted to the recipe provides the spicy meat pieces with optimum freshness protection. A slip-lid cover also manufactured through injection moulding contains the dip. The deep-drawn EVOH cup is decorated with several off-mould labels, while in-mould labelling is used to embellish the injection-moulded cover. A folding fork is positioned in between them. For preparation the cover is removed and the meat portion in the cup is heated up in the microwave for thirty seconds, shaken and heated up for another thirty seconds. The meat can be dipped into the sauce in the cover with the fork provided and immediately eaten.
